Poll: What's your New Year's Resolution?
Anon: 1024 x 768
Foo: Nice. That post is 1600x1200 worthy, no matter what anyone says.
Captain Obvious: This post is funny because the Anonymous Coward makes reference to one's monitor resolution when the common interpretation in the context of the New Year's resolution is a course of action.
See also double entendre.
Sometimes I think I'm going a little overboard with these "obvious" titles... But they say it makes for easier scanning.
Uno: "Quantum Entanglement". Is that what the geek kids are calling it these days? "Excuse me, but you stimulate the neurons in my hypothalamus. Would you like to come over to my place and study quantum entanglement?"
Dos: Call it whatever the hell you want; geeks still won't get any.
Tres: That would be the classical interpretation. In quantum physics the likelihood is just incredibly small.

I like the design of this page, via this Slashdot story about commenting your code.
(I'm trying to finish up the post by obtaining a screenshot, as well as getting to know other parts of the site better... But I think it's in the middle of being slashdotted. More later.)
This post is entitled "zerg" and contains the following conditional for commenting your code: "Ask someone else to look at your code. Every time they pause while scrolling, touch their chin, squint their eyes, furrow their brows, etc., it means you need a comment." Emphasis mine. Is that the face a zerg makes? A zergling dog maybe? Hive cluster for the win?
The Commentator via this Slashdot post:
When a star footballer makes an winning play, he doesn't stop to explain it to the team beforehand. He makes the move. Scores the points. Gets on with the game. No time for talk.Think about it for a moment:
You are that star footballer.
Crazy. And humorous. =)
And lastly: "These comments you speak of, they seem foreign and strange to me." I'm sure that tone of voice is a cliche from somewhere... Starfire from the Teen Titans Animated Series talks like that.

:: When forced [to give out my number], I give out numbers that are a few digits off.
: You are a horrible, horrible person! As punishment, I hope that other people with phone numbers similar to yours also do this.

See, I still think Slashdot humor is really, really funny. That was worth a little chuckle. ::chuckle!!!::

What's the point of using acronyms when you have to type out the whole phrase anyways?
